Welcome to the official Web site for the Town of Mize, Mississippi. Mize is located in the southwestern part of Smith County at the junction of State Highway 35 and 28. There are two lovely creeks that run through the town of Mize, Clear Creek and Okohay. Surrounded by pine forests and rolling hills, we are a friendly rural town and welcome new residents, business, and industry.

Mize has an excellent school system, friendly churches and organizations, and a wide variety of businesses. It is located within easy reach of major cities, interstate highways, and has Illinois Central Railway access.

Well known for its Smith County watermelons, Mize is home to the Annual Mize Watermelon Festival in the City Park downtown Mize. Thousands attend this annual celebration of the harvest with free watermelon, arts and crafts, food vendors, mountain climbing, and live entertainment, to be held on July 20-21, 2006.
